If you happen to be traveling to Berlin this Summer I might have the most stylish places for you to stay at. Suite 030 offers exclusive one of a kind rentals in the German capital. In this modern beauty you can enjoy a spacious living room and the three bedrooms furnished with hand-picked statement pieces of furniture. But no worries, if this one is not your cup of tea there are plenty more to choose from, all decorated to a tee. From an urban tree house to a super cool boat house, Suite 030 has plenty of chic places all around Berlin. In most cases these pads make more sense for groups of friends traveling together in order to make your budget go further. Happy first day of Summer!
Why have a regular wall clock when you can have a colorful, ever-changing time piece on your wall? British designer Duncan Shotton creates "products that engage users emotionally, promote happiness and ensure people love what they’re doing, wherever they are and whoever they're there with." And the Colour O'Clock is no exception to his rule. It's a fun piece that changes color as time passes by. Love!
To keep in line with the color theme this week, today I got inspired by Umbra's new line of home accents. Umbra Shift is a collection that's fresh, functional and with a unique point of view. The design is minimalist yet very clever with the right touch of that amazing Nordic sensitivity. The whole collection is great but the Coiled Stool is one of my favorite pieces — I think it's super clever. You can take a peek at their e-catalogue here. Enjoy!
Now that Summer has 'unoficially' started I'm in a very colorful mood. So to celebrate the warm season and its bright hues I felt this stunning posters were the perfect eye candy for today. This collection of Colorful Cities by graphic designer Yoni Alter were inspired by the cities' iconic skyline and landmark architecture. You can check if your favorite city in represented by visiting Yoni's online shop.
I can't get over the fact that this unbelievably fun flat once was a Danish schoolhouse. Right in the heart of vibrant Copenhagen, this amazing apartment is filled with whimsical details and plenty of funky artwork. I'm particularly loving the headless bear sculpture by American artist Richard Colman. Is definitely a playful space where form and color create an exciting design adventure.
This concrete-centric hotel is a new hospitality haven in Los Angleles' Koreantown. Designer Sean Knibb of Knibb Design is responsible for the stylish and modern look of The Line Hotel's minimalist yet striking interiors — where he introduced a variety of textures, patterns and colors to balance out the powering presence of concrete. I'm mildly obsessed with the overall vision of this gorgeous hotel.
Now that warmer weather is here to stay, and Summer is not far away, these groovy deck chairs will most likely be a hit among your artistic friends. Each chair is made of a Merpauh frame and sailcloth fabric digitally printed with artwork by artilst like Damien Hirst, Sam Taylor-Wood, Tracey Emin, among others. They would make a great collection for any backyard. Any takers?
