A Kid's Castle

Back in my childhood, I guess my love for home and design was starting to become noticeable. I remember pretending to build a makeshift house by hanging sheets over the dining room table in order to create my own private refuge. It used to be my sanctuary where I would play with my favorite toys, and maybe, invite a couple of my closest friends. But how times have changed! After drooling over these incredible kiddie cottages, my make-do tent house is put to shame. Petit classics

 

Why didn't anyone think of these when I was growing up? Being a fan of mid-century classics, I would've given anything to have one, two, or three of these dreamy replicas for my room. They might not be for everyone, but for those who really go mad for this style it's an investment that your little ones can pass on to their own. Start them young

I don't have kids of my own, but if I did I know I would be exposing them to anything art and design at an early age. And what a better way than with this very cool book for babies, Art for Baby, featuring black and white, high contrast images aimed to calm and entertain your newborn. Images include works by leading international contemporary artists including Damien Hirst, Gary Hume, Julian Opie and Bridget Riley, who have all donated their work for free.
