Tradition and eclecticism mix divinely in this Italian jewel. Located in Lombardy, Italy, the unique sixteenth-century house is owned by the head of interior design studio Mariateresa Facchini, who bought the house to renovate it and reclaim the splendor of the original structure. The decor is a cocktail of architectural and decorative styles, with wisely-chosen pieces of furniture and few concessions to color—except smart splashes of yellow and hints of blue. Everywhere you turn there's a delightful surprise, either through the beautiful interiors or the unexpected decorative pieces like the wire donkey sculpture and the cage rabbit on a pedestal—which by the way I want for my pad. Happy weekend!
