Make It Beautiful

How cool is this? I came across this genius and charming stop-motion animation video here and clearly HAD to share it with you. I thought you would get a kick out of it. The project was created by The Indigo Bunting for the May 2011 iPad issue of Martha Stewart Living. He came up with the whole concept, folded and created the origami elements and even the lettering. The stills were  photographed by Johnny Miller and the video edited by Philip Leaman. Enjoy!

Art Imitating Life

For us bloggers, inspiration is key. We look for it nonstop everywhere around us to try to find that special something to share with our readers. For New Yorker Scott Schuman it's no different. He spends his days roaming the streets of major cities around the world photographing people who look great and different to share on his renowned fashion blog The Sartorialsit. This video captures the essence of his work and gives us a glimpse of his inspiration and thought process. For him, it's like falling in love a little bit everyday. If you haven't had the pleasure of looking at his blog, please do so. You're in for a visual treat!

Ever since I moved to Manhattan, I look forward, with anxious anticipation, to the reveal of these magical and inspiring displays. This year, Linda Fargo and David Hoey, heads of the store's presentation team, were inspired by fantasy travel to faraway places. Hoey describes them as as a mix of unexpected arrivals and departures influenced by Roman mythology and the movies — the reason for their name "Wish You Were Here."
