Let's Tango!

The votes are in!! Pantone has chosen Tangerine Tango as 2012 Color of the Year. This chic and delicious hue will be setting the tone for everything from fashion to decor next year. “Sophisticated but at the same time dramatic and seductive, Tangerine Tango is an orange with a lot of depth to it,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Reminiscent of the radiant shadings of a sunset, Tangerine Tango marries the vivaciousness and adrenaline rush of red with the friendliness and warmth of yellow, to form a high-visibility, magnetic hue that emanates heat and energy.” You can energize your home with Tangerine Tango patterned home accents. Pillows, bedspreads and tabletop accessories in this high-impact hue will add drama and spice to any room. Or incorporate Tangerine Tango appliances and personal electronics for an unexpected pop of color. Looking for an inexpensive way to perk up your home? Paint a wall in in this color for a dynamic burst of energy in the kitchen, entryway or hallway. Here are some great pieces that will certainly fire up your decor.

Make It Beautiful

How cool is this? I came across this genius and charming stop-motion animation video here and clearly HAD to share it with you. I thought you would get a kick out of it. The project was created by The Indigo Bunting for the May 2011 iPad issue of Martha Stewart Living. He came up with the whole concept, folded and created the origami elements and even the lettering. The stills were  photographed by Johnny Miller and the video edited by Philip Leaman. Enjoy!
