LOFTY & DREAMY

This stylish duplex in central Stockholm is anyone's dream apartment. With soaring high ceilings and an unusual floor plan, this dashing loft has everything to make me go weak in the knees: luscious space, white from floor to ceiling and a fun, eclectic collection of furniture. Obviously, that divine bathroom is also to die for.

New York Glam

With impressive views of New York City's skyline, this magnificent loft by husband and wife design duo Bob and Cortney Novogratz offers a delicious marriage between the old and the new. The living area is perfectly designed literally around Family, a fun area rug that's part of the couple's first line of accessories. Taking advantage of the lofty ceilings, they created an oversized chandelier by grouping six Copper Shade pendants by Tom Dixon at different heights (one of my favorite pieces in this pad). The Novograts successfully put together a perfect mix of vintage and modern furniture, expensive and inexpensive pieces and colorful surrealist works of art, creating a timeless and glam atmosphere — a trait they're well-known for.

Zen-sational

This breathtaking loft is absolutely heavenly, a place to worship white and simplicity. Zen is the perfect word to describe the home of fashion designer Johanne Riis, who had the vision to transform a former warehouse into this incredible five-story multiple space where she now lives and works. The basement houses her atelier, the ground floor is where her shop and showroom are located, and the remaining three floors are dedicated to the living quarters. Without a doubt, there's a deep feeling of peace and serenity that surrounds all the areas, which are always changing thanks to the ingenious furniture solutions she created — like using ten individual tables to form one larger one for the dining room. Although most of the spaces are bathed in white, the sparce use of red and black tell the perfect story.

Artful living

If you ask any art collector what his or her ideal home would be, I'm almost positive this outrageously handsome loft is it. The Collector's Loft, in Greenwich Village in Manhattan, was designed by Dutch architectural team UN Studio. Their design concept explores the interaction between a private gallery and living space. They decided to replace some of the existing windows for floor-to-ceiling glass panels to frame the spectacular skyline views the city has to offer. The sensual curves of the walls serve as backdrop to their splendid collection of art, as well as separating the living areas. For flooring, the designers chose 1½ feet wide planks of douglas fir to maintain the right proportions. And of course, with almost 6000 square-feet of open space, minimalism was the way to go.

A dynamic duo

David Delfin (left) & Gorka Postigo (right)What's the result of putting a fashion designer and a architect-turned photographer under one roof? A mind-blowing, amazing, unreal, sexy and impeccable loft in the middle of Madrid. This home is an obvious expression of David Delfin and Gorka Postigo's (AKA Studio) innovative talent. The openness of this space doesn't only allude to its amplitude but also to the honesty of their style reflected in their nest.

The seamless white space is the perfect setting to display the magnificent collection of Gorka's work and that of other renowned photographers such Diane Arbus, among others. Every piece of artwork they own is desirable, but I would give ANYTHING to have all eight baby busts (above) in my house.
