Bright And Dreamy

As we're getting ready to say bye-bye to Summer, I thought it would be swell to show you this dreamy Summer house in Mykonos. Simplicity may be the word of the day, but it is perhaps not the first thing that comes to mind when you step into Villa Orpheus. The minimalist and soothing design of this home was the work of South African interior designer Jayne Wunder, who took a charming traditional Mykonos house and revamped it into this modern monochromatic oasis. She really did a masterful job with the glorious mix of mid-century pieces and the island's typical style of decor. It is fair to say that a place with such serene vibe is the perfect retreat to enjoy the simplest of life's pleasures. Happy Friday!

Design Storytelling

Every designer has his or her own creative process. Seyhan Ozdemir and Sefer Cagle, creative duo from Turkish design firm Autoban, use storytelling as a way to help them conceptualize their interior design projects. They see furniture as characters in a space that has a soul and a past, creating unique experiences in their interiors. Seyhan and Sefer's eclectic design style is influenced by nature, childhood memories and their many travels — and clearly from their colorful city Istanbul, which is filled with contrasts and surprises. Their style is somehow sublime yet filled with unpredicted fun moments. There's nothing about this smashing home I would change. I'm especially crazy about their phenomenal collection of lighting fixtures that star in every room's story. They're all dreamy

Enchanting Taste

A key attribute for being a great designer is having the ability to find inspiration on every little thing we're exposed to, and conceptualize it in our work. One designer and tastemaker I find masters that talent is Kelly Wearstler, known for her enchanting take on interiors and luxury lifestyle. I have always admired her daring use of color and scale in her interiors. Her whimsical style of accessorizing is simply beautiful. The Los Angeles-based, award-winning designer has left her imprint in several international and domestic resorts and hotels, restaurants, stores and residences for a high-profile and celebrity clientele. “I am always aware of my surroundings and I spend time each day searching for beautiful and unusual things,” says Wearstler. She has an inherent affection for taking photos of the things that capture her attention and excite her, which she shares in her blog My Vibe My Life. Trust me, you're in for a treat.

Eclectic elegance

Who knew that after spending many of his childhood days playing with colorful carpet remnants and arranging make-believe furniture, this talented Graphic Designer turned Interior Stylist, would evolve his early diversion into an amazing career. It is obvious that Graham Moss is a very creative self as you can see in this awesome five-story brownstone in Harlem, NY, which took him two months to design and two ”excruciating but rewarding” years to remodel – and I would say worth the time and sweat. It's simply stunning.
