By mixing period and modern architecture, Michaelis Boyd Associates have transformed this Georgian London house into an impeccable piece of art. The architects have displayed a very sensitive use of materials while reinstating original features throughout. For some, this house might feel a bit sterile, but with the smart use of colors, particularly yellow, they have created a rather elegant yet hospitable environment. By the way, if by any chance you're moving to London any time soon, and feel like splurging, this glorious pad is for sale here. It is definitely calling my name. Happy weekend!

If you're looking to add a little interest to your empty walls, but you're afraid of making a commitment to wallpaper, I think I found a playful solution just for you. How about creating your own abstract artwork with these super graphic and fun wall tapes by Japanese company Sincol x mt. I'm amazed by how many products and finishes in the market imitate reality. For instance, this gorgeous collection of wallpapers by English company Mineheart look so, so real that you almost need to get up close to find out if it's wallpaper or the real thing. You can add the look of the classic deep buttoned Chesterfield sofa to a wall, create a bright elegant white paneling feel reminiscent of stately homes to your living room, give the look of exquisitely ornate metal panels or feature painted white wooden planks with nail holes for a minimal shabby chic look with these über realistic wall coverings. They're printed on to the finest quality fabric-backed textured paper making them suitable for both domestic and commercial use. Which one is your favorite? Mine? I don't know. They're all so cool, I'm having a hard time choosing.

Inspired by the figure of a typical English gentleman, this gem of a hotel recently opened its doors in Granada, Spain. Hotel Portago Urban was designed by the very creative Ilmiodesign, blending style with a relaxed and colorful atmosphere that permeates this central district of Granada. To add that classical British cultural icon, the designers incorporated the adorable Jeeve's bowler and the Wooster's top hat pendants by Jake Phipps—creating an important staple in the decor of this lovely hotel. Although the use of white is key in their color palette, Ilmiodesign wasn't shy about using these beautiful jewel-like tones in the carpeting and accent pieces.

Fairy tales have always been part of everyone's life. But every now and then, different versions of these classic children's stories we’ve grown to know and love are reinvented. As a matter of fact, they're not exclusively for kids anymore. Like the new TV series Once Upon A Time and the soon-to-be-released Snow White feature films, these tales get to be enjoyed by adults as well. These hyper-minimalist posters, designed by Christian Jackson, are also clever interpretations of these tales that you can own to keep alive those precious childhood memories. Just take a peek at the whole collection and perhaps you might not be able to resist the temptation to buy one here.

It's Friday!! so join me on a trip across the Atlantic to take a quick tour of the stunning home of creative couple Virginine Denny and Alfonso Vallès where they both live and work. When I saw it, it immediately captivated me. I mean, what's not to love about it? Besides being in my all-time favorite city, Paris, its interiors are simply poetic. Of course, it also helps that these stunning images by photographer Petra Bindel, styled by Emma Persson Lagerberg, truly captured the industrial beauty of what once was a button factory. The fusion of styles and casual design is spot on. Love, love, love all the phenomenal artwork and the spontaneous use of typography as decorating elements throughout the place. It's a smart and inexpensive way of adding an element of surprise and character to any room. I think I'm going to be dreaming about this place tonight. Have a superb weekend!

I can't think of a place I'd rather be right this minute than in this dreamy and secluded refuge in the middle of the Caribbean. I'm already lounging in that gorgeous bar sipping on a delicious cocktail and ready to catch some rays in this picture-perfect heaven.
La Banane, located in the heart of a spectacular coconut grove in the island of Saint Barts, is the ideal spot to relax and take in every single detail that makes it so special. With a fusion of tropical chic and island sophistication, each corner of the hotel is exquisitely designed. The clever mix of furniture and accessories makes the decor stylish yet cozy. OK, I'm sorry but I have to leave you now so I can keep enjoying my imaginary mini-vacation at this spectacular retreat.
