Love is in The Air

I'm a big believer that home is where the heart is. I'm sure the creators behind these kooky pieces feel the same way. From fabulous sitting icons, to even a quirky heart-shaped sink, these adorable creations will definitely add some red-hot passion to your nest. Although “love is all we need,” owning any of them would be even sweeter. What can I say? I fell in love with all of them!

Ready for Midnight

Today starts the final countdown to 2011. Everyone is ready to say goodbye to 2010 and welcome a new decade. I'm a firm believer that the way you start a new year will set the tone for the rest of it. So my dear friends, start celebrating with lots of good will and a fabulous attitude. And since I'm in Madrid I have to do as Spaniards do: twelve grapes and a chilled glass of cava on hand to cheer the eminent arrival. Wishing you all a magnificent and designful New Year and the best of the best for 2011. Salud!!

Preppy Chairs

In keeping with a winter motif, I found this very cute idea of accessorizing your dining room chairs with these funky slip-on socks, yeap, socks. I'm not sure who's coming up with these flashes of genius, but they're brilliant. Designed by Chris and Ruby, the Personality Chair Socks not only will add some personality to your thrones but will save your floors from unwanted scrapes. They're available in four style to satisfy your fancy: Sporty, Striped, and my favorites, Grey and Pink Argyle. For sure, your friends who have a sense of humor will get a kick out of them.

Making it Fall

My friends, the time has come to put those bathing suits and flip-flops away... Fall is fast approaching. I guess we need to start thinking of warming up the decor in our nest, and what better way than using nature as inspiration. I've always been a big fan of natural materials as they let us bring a little bit of the outside in. You don't need to go overboard and completely redo your interiors, just adding a couple of key pieces, fabrics and accessories will immediately transform the mood of your pad. All you'll need then is a hot cup of cocoa, or tea, to kick back and enjoy this beautiful time of year. Happy Fall!
