REAL OR NOT?

I'm amazed by how many products and finishes in the market imitate reality. For instance, this gorgeous collection of wallpapers by English company Mineheart look so, so real that you almost need to get up close to find out if it's wallpaper or the real thing. You can add the look of the classic deep buttoned Chesterfield sofa to a wall, create a bright elegant white paneling feel reminiscent of stately homes to your living room, give the look of exquisitely ornate metal panels or feature painted white wooden planks with nail holes for a minimal shabby chic look with these über realistic wall coverings. They're printed on to the finest quality fabric-backed textured paper making them suitable for both domestic and commercial use. Which one is your favorite? Mine? I don't know. They're all so cool, I'm having a hard time choosing.

PRIMARY CLOCKS

My goodness, I can't believe how fast time is passing by. It seems it was only yesterday we had to turn our clocks back for Daylight Savings Time. And yes, it's time again to turn them clockwise to make up for the hour we gained last Fall. The only downfall is the 60 minutes of much needed beauty sleep we sadly lose tonight (a double bummer!). That's why I felt it was appropriate to dedicate today's post to these good-looking wall clocks by David Weatherhead & GOOD for Thorsten van Elten. The minimally designed Primary Clocks are made from solid Douglas Fir with a screen-printed clock face and German Quartz mechanism.

CALIFORNIA GOLD

What happens when imaginative storytelling, a strong sense of craft and a good dose of color magically merge under one roof? The answer: Lab Partners, a design studio founded by the husband and wife creative team of Ryan Meis and Sarah Labieniec. Based out of sunny Oakland, California, everything this duo designs is pretty amazing, but this poster series they call California Gold is up there on my list of favorites. These handsome posters feature graphic renditions of some of the Golden State's natural wonders printed in black and gold metallic ink. The whole series is truly a beautiful tribute to nature, and Lab Partner's way of giving back to their inspiration by donating 5% of all sales to the California Nature Conservancy.

MIRROR, MIRROR AGAINST THE WALL

Besides being necessary and useful accessories in our homes, mirrors are great pieces that create the illusion of space and can make a wonderful statement in any interior. Whether ornate or minimalist, mirrors are must-have items in any decor. This simplistic collection of standing mirrors, designed by Spain-based La Mamba Design Studio, has everything going for it: great lines and a wonderful presence that will make anyone look good. The Mirrors were designed to lean against a wall, supported on long steel tubular legs with cork feet. They are available here in black, and three different styles: circular, vertical and horizontal. Which one is the fairest of them all?

HAPPY FACES

When I saw these adorable floor lamps I simply had to smile. Faces (that's their name) are designed by interior designers Isabelle Gilles and Yann Poncelet of Colonel. I love how simply their design is. The lamps consists of tripod-like base made in solid beech and a shade covered in felt, where they decided to add the right touch of color. Even the fabric that covers the wire matches the color of the shade — how cute is that? The shades can also be tilted to redirect the light to your needs. Happy Saturday!!

A Theme From The Past

Representing four decades of distinct design styles, this wallpaper collection by Graham & Brown celebrates great British creativity. The collection includes four designs that take its inspiration from a different decade. Inspired by the 1930s glittering glamour, Deco Diamond takes its cue from the era's emerald onyx ornaments and enamel kitchenware. For any mid-century modern fan, Grid is Mad Men 50s chic, combining the decades graphic print influences with a watercolor palette and influenced by the classic British 'caff table tops of the era. Celebrating all that's great about the swinging 60s, Loopy Lines heralds from the free-flowing style of the time and the modernist movement. And finally, Do the Stretch embraces a bold design and groovy colors that capture the 70s glam rock stars and science fiction mania with a hint of space odyssey. But no matter which decade is your favorite, any of these awesome patterns will bring back the fabulousness from yesteryear.

Carpets With a Message

If you like home furnishings that make a statement, these rugs by Swedish designer Therese Sennerholt will definitely do the trick. You probably recognized her work from her trademark black and white graphic posters and postcards displaying fun everyday quotes. But now she's expanding her collection to include these witty rugs she's designing in collaboration with Swedish carpet company a.carpet. Don't you love them?
