I'm not fond of weighing everything I eat, but this mechanical kitchen scale by Bengt Ek Design might tempt me to start. It has that Scandinavian design I adore with a classic retro feel, plus it has a clock in the back side with ultimate Swiss precision. This object of beauty would look gorg in my kitchen counter since hiding it is not an option. Papa likes!

Having lots of art around never hurt anyone, especially when it's as fabulous and affordable as these prints by Kristina Sostarko and Jason Odd, founders of Australian studio Inaluxe. Their design philosophy is simple: “Make it beautiful, use the best materials possible and be responsible and sustainable in production practice.” Their print motifs have a vintage mood reminiscent of the 50s and 60s with the coolest color palette that I love. Kristina and Jason show pride in their artwork by using only the best archival fine art paper available and first-class giclee reproduction technology. Besides their mod-themed collection, they have a great series Of Botany & Birds largely inspired by the native Australian woods and birds. I can easily picture them hanging in Don Draper's fabulous New York City pad in Mad Men. Don't you? Happy weekend!!!

I love everything typography. Letter shapes are so beautiful and graphic that they make great artwork on their own. I guess that's why Swedish art director Therese Sennerholt creates these popular graphic prints with quotations and sayings, some she has found and others of her own creation. Today, she's unveiling her new collection of prints, which by the way is beyond awesome. Also cool are the rustic vignettes styled by none other than Swedish interior-styling authority Lotta Agaton and photographed by Henrik Bonnevier. Have a swell weekend :)

When I think of Tasmania, the first thing that comes to mind is the infamous Looney Tunes character, the Tasmanian Devil. But know, I'm glad to have found these gorgeous giclée prints by Tasmania-born graphic designer Ken Lawson to have a new reference to Australia's favorite vacation island. Based on the surf coast of Victoria, Australia, Ken created a limited and open edition of graphic prints under the name Elroy Ink. “Whilst Elroy Ink aims to express something that is quintessentially me, it's also important to me that my work is accessible enough to find a place in other people's hearts,” he explains. The whole collection is pretty great and is available on his online store. Do you have a fave?

This weekend marks the unofficial start of the much anticipated Summer season (at least for us living in the U.S since we're celebrating Memorial Day). With it, comes breezy days at the beach, fabulous family get-togethers and delicious afternoon barbecues in the backyard. So why not get your grilling started right with the chic Eva Solo Grill Globe. Following the simplicity of Danish design, the integrated lid incorporates a thermometer, which saves having it hanging on the grill or lying on the ground. The black bottom half of the grill is made of aluminium, while the lid and the four-legged stand are made of stainless steel. Also, the stand is designed so a table and a holder for various grill utensils can quickly be attached. Happy grilling!

Once a year, New York City welcomes furniture and home decor designers and manufactures from around the world to showcase their new creations at ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair). So yesterday afternoon I headed over to this great spectacle ready for a design overdose. My expectations were surpassed. I was excited to see a lot of new talent among the veteran design houses, especially in wall coverings. The variety of materials and interpretations in wallpapers, tiles and finishes was quite extensive—actually more than I've seen in previous years. Another biggie was lighting (or maybe it was just me since I have a weakness for everything that illuminates). But seriously, the array of alternatives and designs was glorious. Last but not least, I was very happy to see a great deal of attention paid to the outdoors with a gorgeous and stylish selection of furniture and accessories for the patio and backyard. Overall, I spent a delightful afternoon drooling over such wonderful and inspiring work, but the cherry on the cake was running into design guru Karim Rashid. The fair will be open until tomorrow, so if you happen to be in this part of town, I recommend you stop by and see for yourself what's new and happening in the world of design. If not, here are a few of the many things that really caught my eye. Enjoy!

Sometimes it is the simplest things that are the most beautiful. It just takes a splash of good design and a drop of creativity to create that one piece that screams perfection. The Flask falls into that category. This limited-edition pendant lamp, designed by Florian and Sebastian, Schneider impresses through its simplicity. All it takes is a metal lampshade, an electric cord and a bulb and voilà, you've got a super chic fixture for your home. Flask was designed to hang either straight down or on a 90° angle, and it comes in white, sulfur yellow and mint green. Happy Friday!!
