This is not your typical bachelor pad. To the contrary. This Berlin rather spacious pied-à-terre is home to landscape architect Guido Hager when he's visiting the German capital from his home base in Zurich. The apartment is at the fourth floor of an historic building with alluring vistas of the city's charming local streets. Although the apartment was in need of complete renovation, Guido was ultimately captivated by the amount of wall space where he could display his brightly-colored art collection. I'm glad he kept the ornate details of the lofty ceilings as it adds a beautiful contrast to his minimalist and modern decor.
