Living The Adventure

Everyone's dream is to have a place away from home to escape to, and some are lucky enough to have a little castle to do that. At least that's the case of advertising agency owner Morten Angelo and his wife Tina Horstedt, who found their dream holiday retreat in Apulia, a region in southern Italy — praised by fashion designer Giorgio Armani as the country's finest and most authentic area. While looking for the perfect place, the couple immediately fell in love with a home typical to the Alberobello village. Consisting of round, conic-shaped structures, they decided to expand by building a new addition to create a dreamy little castle to call their own. They did a magnificent job in combining the new and the old while preserving the rustic character of the original medieval building. I applaud their decision to keep the decor simple and serene by just adding touches of black and white against that gorgeous sea of limestone. I guess this raises the bar for the concept of having a vacation home. “I don't know if I'm in the Inca Empire, Morocco or where I am. But I'm one hundred percent sure I'm on an adventure,” assures Morten.
