A Work of Art

This is not your typical Madrid suburban house, but the home of Spanish architect Joaquin Torres from design studio A-cero. Conceived as a work of art, the whole place is furnished with items designed by his firm — alternating design classics, antiques and phenomenal artwork. The pieces stand out against a neutral canvas of white, gray and black with soft brush strokes of indirect lighting. While designing the house, his main inspiration came from sculptor Richard Serra's trademark curvilinear and angular style. There really isn't anything to dislike about this place, on the contrary, pretty much everything is incredibly stunning, particularly that black fireplace in the form of a big C that anchors the living room. Come in, I invite you to take a tour of this far-out pad. Enjoy!

These are certainly cool digs, but they have a "how dare you live here" vibe.

These designs are very impressive. I really love the unique look of the interiors. The furnishings are extraordinary.
