Rock-paper-scissors

Wallpaper has been around for centuries, but in vogue, on and off. However, we had not seen the surge in popularity that it has had in the last couple of years since the 70s. Thankfully, this new renaissance has no traces of that era. Nowadays there is something for everyone. I took a look at this amazing concrete-like wallpaper and a had to do a double take.

For those shoe lovers out there who think there's never enough Manolos in your closet, how about this fun creation by Swedish designer Lisa Bengtsson (Svärmor).

Picture, picture on the wall who's the cutest of them all? Most definitely, this amusing wallpaper (Familjen) by the same designer.

No, this isn't photoshopped. It's actually a knitting wall covering that doesn't just look like the real thing but also feels like it. Hmm, Fall is right around the corner.

Don't have enough room in your pad for a formal library? No problem. You can get an instant wall-to-wall bookcase in no time with this intelligent wallpaper part of the Deborah Bowness collection.

I don't know about you, but I'm really loving this whole wallpaper revolution. It's given us another way to inject glam and a bit of drama into our spaces. All I hope is when we look back in thirty-some years we won't say “what were we thinking?”

If you're now motivated and feel the need to be trendy and add wallpaper to your decor, here are some tips and easy how-to instructions that will help in case you want to do it yourself.
